This form is for week-long registration for Cities on Volcanoes 12 (COV12) and to pay for abstracts that have been accepted for presentation. Please pay here for all abstracts for which you are a presenting author. This page will remain open until conference capacity is reached. 9. COV12 is an IAVCEI conference. As such, "Participants of COV12 who present an abstract and are from the broad volcanology community are required to be active members of IAVCEI at the time of the meeting. Selected abstract presenters will be exempted from this requirement based on specific status and background (e.g. local administration, local authorities, school teachers, community participants, civil protection authorities, artists, journalists). Membership in IAVCEI is encouraged and fee waivers are available for demonstrated need." 14. Inter-conference field trip options include Pacaya or Fuego volcanoes on Wednesday, February 14th. Both trips will involve an approximately six or seven hour excursion including time spent on buses. The Pacaya volcano trip will involve hiking for two hours. The Fuego volcano trip will involve flat walks of only a few hundred meters. We will do our best to accommodate field trip preference for all participants. All participants of COV12 are eligible to sign up for optional field trips and workshops occurring prior to, during, and after the conference. These events have limited availability, are available first-come, first-served, and must be reserved in advance. Guest passes and one-day conference registration can also be paid for here.

Note that the intra-conference field trip on Wednesday February 14th is included with week-long registration for all participants.

18. The venue hotel (Porta) has blocked its rooms for COV12 participants. Lodging special rate is $115 per night double occupancy and availability is limited. Information on processing of personal data

Based on your registration (in the following step), your personal data filled out in the registration form are going to be processed by the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth’s Interior (IAVCEI), having its registered seat at Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e Geoambientali, via Orabona 4, 70125, Bari, Italy and contact: iavcei@associationhouse.cz as the controller for the purposes of arrangement of your participation in the event. This processing is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and the controller. Your participation as well as the processing for the controller secures IAVCEI. Upon your registration you confirm that you have familiarized yourself with Information on processing of personal data.

After clicking the Submit button you will be redirected to the PayPal payment gateway. You may use a credit card without becoming a PayPal member. Cancellation and Refund Policy

IAVCEI membership is non-refundable.
Abstract submission fees are non-refundable.
Registration fee for COV12

If participation to COV12 in Guatemala has to be cancelled, the IAVCEI Secretariat must be notified by e-mail to: iavcei@associationhouse.cz. The following cancellation conditions apply:

Email received by Monday, 11 December 2023, 12.00 pm CET: full refund of the registration fee (minus transaction fees paid by IAVCEI)
Email received by Thursday, 11 January 2024, 12.00 pm CET: 50 % refund of the registration fee (minus transaction fees paid by IAVCEI)
After January 11, 2024: no refund
